The system includes all the functions of traditional centralized traffic control systems, as well as the new functions based on the informational technologies, which is determined for relay and microprocessor automation device implementation at the stations and spans.
Microprocessor centralized traffic control belongs to informating-controlling automatic control systems of discrete-continuous technological processes with high informational capacity level and functional reliability.
The basic objectives of system designing are:
- Advancement of technical and economic indices of vehicular process control efficiency;
- Reduction of operational costs due to decreasing of assistant station-master numbers;
